It’s been 6 awesome months since Hotel Zed was born. Already we are getting some amazing recognition throughout BC and beyond. Perhaps one of the coolest was on November 4, 2014 when Destination BC unveiled their new $2.6M marketing strategy and highlighted our very own Mandy Farmer for her innovative new product and experience development in launching Hotel Zed. They lauded Farmer for putting her entire marketing budget into the actual product, rather than ads, thereby creating a radical and remarkable hotel experience. The result? Hotel Zed is a completely unordinary, interactive, lively and unique space that brings guests together to share the fun.
Destination BC was looking for examples of innovative tourism product and experience development. Hotel Zed was the perfect fit for the type of creativity they are looking to showcase, while launching their newly refreshed brand. “We’re stoked with the direction that Destination BC has taken with their new campaign,” says Farmer. “And totally honoured that they are so excited about Hotel Zed and wanted to use it as an example of the type of creativity needed in today’s very competitive marketplace.”
Then on November 14, 2014 at the 23rd Annual Victoria Real Estate Board Commercial Building Awards, Hotel Zed was chosen as the recipient in the Tourism/Hotel Accommodations category. These awards are given out to recognize outstanding commercial development in Greater Victoria. Sweet!
Plus Hotel Zed has been featured in a ridiculous number of newspapers spanning the country both off and line! The Huffington Post picked up Hotel Zed as well as Global TV and CBC News. It’s been quite the ride.
