Skip the brunch line and the Sunday Best by sending mom to Hotel Zed this Mother’Z Day

April 19, 2016, Victoria, BC – On Sunday, May 8, 2016, skip the factory-like setting of the tired Mother’s Day brunch circuit and take advantage of the Mother’Z Day Pass at Hotel Zed where families have access to the property’s funky and fun amenities.

Families are encouraged to grab their swimsuits, water-wings, and pool noodles and hop on their bikes or jump in their car and head straight for the Zedinator waterslide. Or, they can hit the terrestrial activities in the lobby building, setting up a Ping-Pong or Wii tournament of champions.

“I love Mother’s Day, but I was really tired of the lack of inspiration for things to do,” says Mandy Farmer, president of Accent Inns and the Hotel Zed. “I was looking at one of our rotary dial phones in a Hotel Zed room and thought that the time for ‘phoning it in’ was over. Our goal with this day pass is to make Mother’s Day fun again.”

The Hotel Zed Mother’Z Day Pass is $20 and includes access for a family of four to the following amenities throughout the day:

•             The Hotel Zed hot tub & sauna

•             The pool and famous pink Zedinator waterslide

•             The Ping-Pong lounge and Wii

•             The Vinyl listening station and typewriters in the lobby building

•             Access to the Zed Bus for a short ride around town

If brunch is still a requirement, the hotel’s on-site rotisserie chicken and breakfast joint, The Ruby, is open all day. But, remember to wait the obligatory 30 minutes after swimming if you’re coming from the pool – your mom will be watching.

A limited number of Mother’Z Day Passes are available for purchase through the Hotel Zed front desk (3110 Douglas Street, Victoria, BC). All passes are valid from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
