This weekend is going to be awesome...

It's official: the saying "Nearly dead, newly wed" to describe Victoria's population is OVER!  My proof? Take a peek at what's happening this weekend alone in Victoria:

Theatre SKAM's Bike Ride! This is alternative theatre at its best: a mobile feast of live performances, bike rentals, bike decoration, music, fun and 14 short shows.  Like nothing you've seen before! 

Volksfest  is near and dear to our Zed heart!  Check out vintage VW's at this awesome outdoor Show'n Shine, or take part in the cruise or pancake breakfast.  Will the Zed Bus be there?!

Rock the Shores.  This is the island's best Rock Concert (as the sister festival Rifflandia is the island's best indie music event happening in early September) is a 3 day affair with big names such as Tom Cochrane, Billy Talent, Our Lady Peace, Gord Downie and Mother Mother (a personal favorite of mine who is amazing live) to some lesser known but extremely good bands like The Dudes, Kongos and The Roper Show.  We saw the Roper Show live at VicFest and completely fell in love with them.  Then there's the nostalgic bands like 54-40, Loverboy, the Cult, The Wallflowers, Sloan...  and I'm even missing some of the bands.  It's going to be a killer weekend.
