How you travel is important to your health and safety, but so is where you travel to. Hotel Zed is uniquely built to minimize any risk associated with hotel stays right now.
In fact, our safety procedures are so stringent that the Canadian Hotel Association have shared them with other independent hotels as a best practice example. You and your family can feel safe with us, because we are taking care of our teams and our guests like you’re part of our family.
We’ve been able to re-open our pools and hot tubs on a “reservation” system. Guests can book their pool time at the front desk so we can promote social distancing. We thoroughly clean after each time slot.
We also have lots of other awesome areas to enjoy the great outdoors with safe social distancing. Our Victoria hotel has a beautiful grass backyard with lots of seating available, Hotel Zed Kelowna has a killer rooftop patio with firepits and views of Okanagan Lake, and Hotel Zed Tofino has access to the serene Mudflats--plus Chesterman Beach just a few minutes away on foot! Frequent cleaning happens in all areas several times a day.
Exterior corridors and the ability to offer curbside check-in means that you can park and go straight to your room without having to enter common areas. Our hotels are only three stories so you can take the stairs and avoid elevators.
This also makes it easy and convenient to order groceries, supplies or meals for contactless delivery while staying with us. They can drop off your order right at your door!
We don't use central air conditioning, but instead have individual units in our A/C rooms. This means that pollutants do not travel through the hotel from room to room like you might see in other buildings with a central system. You can keep your room as toasty or as cool as you want and you don’t need to worry about germs pumping in!
We have rigorous disinfectant, sanitizing and cleaning protocols for every touchpoint on our property. This includes back of house areas. Our housekeeping teams use hospital grade sanitizer in all rooms.
To minimize any transmission, social distancing is in place at Hotel Zed for both staff and guests. Only one party is allowed in the lobby at one time, plexiglass barriers are in place at the front desk, and we’d be happy to talk to you over the phone and leave any additional supplies at your door if required.
We know that plans can’t be set in stone these days. Hotel Zed has a flexible and understanding policy so you don’t have to worry about your reservation with us.
When you book directly with us, your reservation is guaranteed. We won’t give it away if you come in later than expected, as we understand that travel can be complicated right now.
