Hotel Zed is a happening place but sometimes, you gotta leave the hotel. Luckily, there's so much going on in Victoria that you're guaranteed to have an awesome time.

September to March: Victoria Royals Games

The good ol' hockey game is the best game you can name. And our WHL team is one of the best in the league! Check their website for home games and be sure to say hi to Marty the Marmot for us!

November 15, 2017 - January 2, 2018​: Festival of Trees 

A classic Victoria holiday tradition, the Festival of Trees features hundreds of beautifully-decorated Christmas trees sponsored by local businesses. Spend some time picking out your favourite themed tree, and donate to BC Children's Hospital when you cast your ballot. 

November 18, 2017 to January 2, 2018​: Annual Gingerbread Showcase

Stop at Caffe Fantastico for a warm drink and your own gingerbread cookie to snack on, then spend a festive afternoon checking out gorgeously elaborate gingerbread creations from professional and amateur chefs on display at the Parkside Hotel. This year's theme is "Celebrating Canada!" in honour of Canada's 150th birthday. All proceeds from your votes go directly to Habitat for Humanity.

November 25: Island Farms Santa's Light Parade
A beautiful parade that can fill even the Grinchiest hearts with Christmas spirit! The parade ends downtown, and everyone is invited for treats in Centennial Square, where Santa himself will officially declare Christmas in Victoria open!

November 29: So You Think you Can Dance Tour

Season 14's Top Ten dancers are hitting the stage to show you their killer moves! Some of Canada's best dance stars will be performing, so it's a must-see for dance fans!

December 1, 2017 to January 6, 2018: Magic of Christmas at The Butchart Gardens

The Butchart Gardens is a Victoria landmark, and they proudly declare Christmas to be their fifth season. The gardens are decorated beautifully for the holidays, complete with all the 12 Days of Christmas characters. Catch the old-timey carrollers singing your favourite Christmas classics, and don't forget to go for a spin on the outdoor ice rink, or even the stunning Rose Carousel!

December 1 to 3: The Nutcracker

The Nutcracker is one of those stories that truly stands the test of time. The Victoria Symphony and Alberta Ballet have teamed up to bring you a beautiful winter classic. Children and adults alike will be in awe of this whimsical story. 

December 1 & 2: Christmas Craft Beer Show

T'is the season....for beer drinking. (Wait, isn't that every season?) Local breweries as well as some from further afield will be in attendance to showcase their best creations, and you'll be there to taste them all! Cheers

December 9: Jim Jefferies

Comedy fans will love Jefferies in his "Unusual Punishment" tour. His controversial and hilarious style has won the hearts of North America, and this multi-city tour is being acclaimed as a must-see!

January 22: Queens of the Stone Age

Rock on and rock out with these modern rock giants. They're touring their latest album, Villains, which debuted at number 1 on the charts in 7 countries!
