Hotel Zed knows that “home for the holidays” isn’t always in the cards for some folks. If, for whatever reason, you won’t or can’t travel to a family home this season, come to Hotel Zed Tofino for a festive rebel rendezvous!
We’re choosing to celebrate the holidays this year with our chosen family (and that includes you!) We’ve got a calendar of fun events and new traditions open to whoever may not get that experience elsewhere: trimming the tree, cozy movie nights, cookie decorating and even pancakes with Santa!
All rebels can experience this nostalgic Holiday Special!

Tree Decorating Party
Join us for festive tunes and holiday cheer as we decorate the tree together at the Hotel Zed lobby! All hands are welcome! It’ll be just like decorating at your family’s house, except it’ll be in our sunken living room with a bunch of rebels!
Breakfast with Santa (Pancake Breakfast to public)
The North Pole could spare Santa for the day, so he’ll be spending some time at ROAR! Come for for breakfast (or brunch) between 8-2 for your chance to meet Santa! He’ll be posing for photos in ROAR and in our holiday photo booth in the lobby. We’ll donate proceeds from Breakfast with Santa to the Tofino Food Initiative. Reservations at ROAR are recommended but not necessary.
Holiday Caroling
Apres Surf at ROAR is getting the Holiday Special treatment! Our Apres Surf happy hour at ROAR is turning into a full-on sing-a-long. We aren’t worried about your pitch or tone, we just want to see you have a good time!
Holiday Movie Night & Ugly Sweaters
Local film buff Sandi Rideout is bringing her movie night vibes to Hotel Zed! Cuddle up in our Sunken Living Room and watch Elf with us. We’ll have blankies, door prizes and fresh, organic popcorn. Wear your holiday jammies, or wear whatever you want! Bonus: This event is totally free.
Gingerbread People Party
Our pastry team will supply gingerbread people cookies and all of the fixings, and we want you to help us decorate them! Taste testing is encouraged. This is a free event and all are welcome! Holiday sweaters are also welcome!
Chosen Family Holiday Feast
ROAR is open for a three-course Holiday Feast with two seatings at 5pm and 7:30pm. Don’t have a big group to celebrate with? Book in at our Chosen Family table at 5pm to sit with other rebels looking to build community by emailing teamroar@roartofino.com
